What you will do in your working day
Fabricating and cutting aluminium to customer requirements using a variety of metal working machinery and equipment, including CNC, guillotines, punches, saws, drills and welding equipment.
· Setting up equipment and machinery correctly for the material being fabricated / cut.
· To ensure that work received from the previous operation is correct.
· To ensure that own work is correct and meets specified requirements
· To ensure that any special requirements identified on the controlling documents have been acted upon
· To ensure that work is completed within the required timescale
The training you will be getting
- You will do all your practical training on site, so you will earn as you learn and once your apprenticeship is complete you will gain a Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 qualification
- Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)
- Functional skills if required
