We are currently working with a global manufacturing firm who specialise in a range of material handling systems and exporting globally. Our client has several global locations – this role is based in Cookstown and focusses on their washing systems. You will be joining a leading employer who have an excellent reputation with both their employees and customers.
Your new role
In your new role as a Manufacturing Systems Engineer. You will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing Manufacturing Systems and equipment to maximise safety, deliver on quality, and minimise cost. You’ll develop processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S, on a complete project basis. You will also be tasked with handling MRP and ERP systems and ensuring any updates to lines and processes are kept in check.
What you'll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing the position of Manufacturing Systems Engineer you should come with at least a third level qualification in an engineering discipline, a strong years placement or 1+ years post graduation will be a good level of experience. You should also have the ability to work under pressure and good commercial knowledge gained from experience in a similar manufacturing engineering or process role. Experience in MRP and ERP systems would be beneficial alongside good design skills in Solidworks or Creo.
