Our clients, based near Petersfield have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Leader to join their growing machine shop. Our clients are an automotive specialist and seeking a candidate who has some team leading experience, and has worked within a machine shop environment.
Role Summary
- Day to day management of the CNC and toolroom manufacturing resource
- Workload scheduling, internal parts movements, inspection & quality control within an ISO9001 environment
- Support manufacture of components and assemblies using manual machining & bench fitting skills as required.
- Support inventory control of workshop activity
Key Responsibilities
- Working to agreed manufacturing priorities and production schedules.
- Support vehicle workshop with overhaul & modification of parts and assemblies
- Ensure quality standards of manufactured items are adhered to.
- Liaise with manufacturing director to identify priorities.
- Complete all necessary production control records & timesheets.
- Identify and assist with purchasing requirements, expedite purchase orders to maintain delivery schedules.
- Support manufacturing director to validate purchasing decisions ie; cost and lead time
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensure Health and Safety regulations are met, and safe working practices are adhered to.
Experience and Required Skills
- Supervisory experience, with a flexible, responsive & collaborative approach
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- MS Office suite experience; Outlook, Excel, Word
- Expertise in toolroom techniques
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and visual quality
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of issues, with a proactive can-do attitude.
