We are looking for a Manufacturing Technical Operator to join our new Weekend Shift and team in Lincoln working on our Day Shift. THE OPPORTUNITYThis role is working within our Wafer Fabrication Department. This department is the start of the Semiconductor Manufacturing Process and is the first stages in creating Silicon based products. This position is a new role within our Bipolar department, and whilst you will still be required to fulfil duties as a production operator, you will also have additional duties. Acting as a bridge between the production team and the equipment engineering team, you will be responsible for basic equipment support tasks, such as setting up certain machines and routine checks. By having this additional responsibility, the role will provide further equipment support to our production team. Full training will be provided. This role includes but is not limited to:
- Working in a Clean Room environment (full PPE will be provided)
- Working in a small team completing day-to-day production activities as instructed.
- Supporting the activities of the Manufacturing Group Leader and Section Leaders to ensure production activities are completed.
- Interpret and follow both Operator / Engineering instructions.
- Operate various types of machines and equipment (including use of acid) for the cleaning of wafers as part of the fabrication process.
- Work in line with work scheduling requirements as instructed.
- Follow work detailed work/operator instructions to a high standard at all times to ensure high accuracy and quality and minimise potential waste.
- Technical qualifications (e.g. BTEC) or experience would be preferable.
- Have recent experience as a Manufacturing Operator or in a similar role.
- Computer literate and ability to confidently demonstrate the use of computers in a work place setting.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy/attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate following process instructions to complete a project and/or task.
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets.
- Working knowledge of health & safety legislation.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to carrying out tasks in a methodical manner.
- Manual dexterity.
- Effective communicator with team members and other colleagues.
- Flexible in meeting business needs.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
