Job role will involve
Generate CNC programs for various machines using SolidCam.
Prove out manufacturing methods on CNC machines and transition them to the operations function.
Understand and apply the requirements of the AS9100 quality system to manufacturing solutions.
Develop cost and time-effective manufacturing plans.
Create process method operations sheets, including inspection, machining, heat treatment, and finishes, using ERP systems.
Check and provide standard tooling, gauges, and inspection equipment in conjunction with Quality Engineering teams.
Produce working stage drawings using Solid Works to support shop-floor manufacturing.
Design jigs & fixtures for cost-effective and efficient manufacturing processes.
Prepare Bills of Materials for make-to-print components using customer drawing data.
Offer support to the operations function to overcome manufacturing challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline.
Knowledge of machining processes and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.
Excellent communication skills at all levels.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Eligibility to obtain UK SC clearance.
Experience with technology development, new product development, and introduction projects desirable.
