Contract: Permanent, Full-time hours – 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Ulster Wildlife Offices, McClelland House, 10 Heron Road, Belfast, BT3 9LE. (A combination of office and home working will be possible).
Salary: £27,049 to £29,160. Access to employer’s contributory pension scheme - maximum 8% per annum.
Ulster Wildlife, Northern Ireland’s largest local nature conservation charity, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Marine Conservation professional to play a key role in our efforts to ‘Bring Nature Back’ through the creation and management of a network of native oyster nurseries in Northern Ireland. The Marine Conservation Officer will be responsible for the development and management of a network of native oyster nurseries throughout Northern Ireland (currently in Bangor, Glenarm and Belfast). You’ll do this in partnership with a dedicated group of local volunteers and you’ll work as part of the wider Marine Conservation team assisting delivery and development of other marine habitat restoration initiatives and citizen science work.
