Inzpires Maritime Division provides maritime warfare consultancy and expertise, end-to-end maritime services and solutions to global clients. We are identifying potential candidates to support us with an exciting opportunity to support the Royal Navy and Royal Marines for the delivery of Maritime Battlestaff training. This role is subject to a contract win.
As the Exercise Director you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the MCAST Operating Service (MOS) planning team.
- Support the development and maintenance of the SOTT and Calendar of Events
- Provide support to Capt JTEPS during EXSPEC development.
- During exercise planning and delivery act as Officer Directing the Exercise (ODE) to work to Capt JTEPS, or nominated Officer Scheduling the Exercise (OSE).
- Act as the Officer Conducting the Exercise (OCE) for all large and medium sized exercises.
- Oversee the development, design, delivery and debrief of complex maritime operational training scenarios to challenge and drive Battlestaff exercises and Task Group activity.
- Work with QinetiQ Service delivery manager to provide/contribute to service update reports.
- Provide the final level of assurance for Exercise Delivery inputs to TOM and Service Delivery Manual.
The team will work from an office in Portsmouth Dockyard. Successful applicants would be joining us at an exciting time as we develop our core offerings to the future of maritime operational training.
The Person
We are looking to hire talented, experienced people who are passionate about maritime training and implementing modern, engaging and collective training services. The successful candidate will be supporting senior RN partners and industry colleagues in delivering core outputs from day one.
We seek expressions of interest from individuals with the following experience:
Essential
- Former Royal Navy or Royal Marines.
- 1* and/or 2* Battlestaff experience.
- ACSC Qualified.
- Instructing, coaching and mentoring skills within an RN training environment.
- Currency in Joint / Combined Multi-Domain Operations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to present information, which is compelling, engaging, and unambiguous.
- Work proactively, seamlessly, constructively, both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent IT skills, to include Office 360.
Highly Desirable
- HCSC Qualified.
- Task Group operations experience.
Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
