Manchester City Council are seeking a Market Manager to oversee Longsight Market. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality services that cater to both traders and customers, ensuring the markets remain vibrant and successful. The ideal candidate will manage site operations, helping organise traders set up, resolve queries, process payments and keep financial records up to date.
Day to day of the role:- Manage site operations to deliver trader and customer-focused services.
- Handle the allocation of stalls to provide an effective retail mix and manage site occupancy agreements.
- Manage financial databases, process payments, and oversee debt management.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to fill vacant stalls and enhance services.
- Handle market-related queries professionally and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and promote understanding.
- Proficient in planning and organising multiple tasks effectively.
- Competent in problem-solving and decision-making, with the ability to produce practical solutions.
- Good administrative skills with a high level of literacy and numeracy.
