Pertemps are seeking a skilled and motivated Marketplace Assistant to support our clients growing Marketplace team and contribute to the continued success of their platform.
As the Marketplace Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, maximising profit, and achieving SLA targets on the platform. This is a temporary-to-permanent position that involves collaborating with various departments, analysing data, and implementing strategies to ensure the ongoing growth of our online marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Marketplace team to drive sales, maximise profit, and achieve SLA targets on the platform.
- Assist in sourcing, listing, and managing new Partner accounts.
- Research, compile, and interpret data to formulate strategies with Partners and support them in achieving targets and sales growth.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of online category statistics, key SLAs, commercial factors, and monitor competitor activity.
- Analyse seasonal trends and identify opportunities to adapt and expand existing category listings.
- Serve as a liaison point between multiple departments within the business, requiring excellent communication, multitasking, and prioritisation skills.
- Work closely with the Marketplace Manager, Marketing, and Trading teams to launch and promote new Partners and products for the continued growth.
- Collaborate in a diverse, cross-functional team environment (including Development, Multichannel, Customer Services, and Buying), using initiative to identify and propose solutions to potential issues.
- Work closely on product promotion decisions and product launches, analysing ecommerce performance statistics, pertinent commercial information, and challenges.
- Support promotional campaigns and events with a full and diverse product offering to drive sales.
- Maintain high attention to detail and effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ensure all relevant administrative, financial, and system procedures are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- A degree is preferred but not essential; strong written, numerical, and analytical skills are required.
- Strong commercial understanding, with the ability to demonstrate knowledge of and an interest in retail and online selling.
- Confidence in using Microsoft Excel and capable of working with formulas and graphs.
- Interpersonal and excellent communication skills are a priority.
- Commitment and confidence with strong administrative, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
- Comfortable working both individually and with a team.
