What you will be doing

Connexin is on a mission to connect the real world with the digital world to improve the way we live. We entered the fibre market in Hull, long suffering from monopoly to challenge the norm and create better products for our customers. This role is critical to the commercial success of our fibre business units. The post holder is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing plans to drive the adoption and success of our fibre products. This postholder must have strong commercial acumen, great track record of implementing successful integrated campaigns and has a strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of a marketing calendar for both consumer and business fibre, aligning with company goals to support commercial success.
• Help in the execution and basic monitoring of digital and traditional marketing campaigns, including paid search (PPC), SEO, affiliates, social media, direct mail, and email marketing.
• Support the creation of basic marketing materials and collaterals like brochures and FAQs for both consumer and business fibre, aiding the sales team in product promotion.
• Participate in team meetings for Go-to-Market strategies for new product releases, learning from interactions with sales, marketing, customer service, and technology teams.
• Assist in gathering customer feedback for both consumer and business fibre services, and help in documenting success stories and testimonials.
• Contribute to the basic management of customer journey mapping and marketing touchpoints, ensuring a consistent approach across consumer and business fibre services.
• Support in compiling data for campaign results and assist in preparing simple reports for team review.
• Conduct monthly competitor analysis, reporting on market trends, and competitive strategies in the consumer and business fibre sectors.
• Help manage aspects of the marketing budget under supervision.

Essential qualifications and experience

• Basic understanding of marketing concepts and eagerness to learn about commercial strategies for consumer and business fibre products.
• Some knowledge or interest in digital marketing channels such as PPC, SEO, and affiliate marketing.
• Introductory understanding of both online and offline marketing channels.
• Basic data analysis skills, with a willingness to learn optimization techniques.
• Keen interest in consumer and business market trends and marketing practices.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and learn on the job.
• Highly motivated, with a proactive attitude suitable for a fast-paced environment.
