Company Overview: My client is a UK-based conglomerate specialising in engineering across the UK and European markets. The Group Marketing department oversees all online and offline marketing activities for the conglomerate and its subsidiaries.
Role Overview: They are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to collaborate with our diverse companies. The role involves spanning various tasks such as aiding in design and copywriting of marketing materials, managing website content, social media engagement, event organisation, data collection, campaign effectiveness assessment, and liaising with external agencies. The Marketing Assistant will work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, sales, Health & Safety, and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and engage social media pages, including responding to comments and messages
- Coordinate communications among Group companies, departments, and external agencies
- Develop marketing materials like presentations, surveys, and branded information
- Assist in evaluating marketing campaign effectiveness and utilizing website analytics for insights
- Contribute innovative campaign ideas to elevate the Group company brands
- Support internal communication and employee event management
- Handle marketing inquiries through our internal log system
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Organisational and commercial awareness
- Analytical abilities with an aptitude for data analysis and trend spotting
- Creative skills encompassing writing, design, and video editing
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proficiency in numerical tasks including spreadsheet compilation, survey analysis, and trend identification
Experience/Qualifications (not all mandatory):
- Pursuing or possessing a marketing qualification
- Experience with social media management platforms
- Proficiency in InDesign and/or Canva, WordPress, video creation support, and Microsoft Suite
- Interest in photography (preferable)
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Google Analytics
