As a Marketing Communications Specialist, you will support marketing management in the development of marketing plans and implement tactical execution of those plans in collaboration with a hybrid team. The expert in this role will stay abreast of market trends and the competitive landscape and share insights with the department. The Marketing Communications Specialist will also collaborate with agency partners to address all measurement and reporting needs, while leading the communication of key insights and optimizations with appropriate stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, dynamic position and an ideal fit for someone who thrives on supporting a team to centralize efforts and streamline processes.
This position will effectively support their team by focusing on the following:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements tactical planning and execution of the marketing strategy, managing and implementing marketing campaigns, and leading retrospectives upon campaign completion.
  • Supports marketing management in evaluating and establishing marketing plans by assembling and analysing sales forecasts, setting objectives, creating and organizing presentations, and coordinating schedules/updating calendars.
  • Collaborates with marketing management to finalize creative briefs and defines creative assets needed to support marketing plans or specific initiatives.
  • Develops creative assets, messaging development, and content in collaboration with designer or agency partners to execute recommendations from the approved strategy, ensuring assets support content themes established in the strategy.
  • Conducts research to analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape, and prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data
  • Works with marketing management, external resources, and internal stakeholders to develop webinars and podcasts
  • Participates, as assigned, in tradeshows, conferences, and roundtables
  • Collaborates with agency partners and the marketing team in support of social media and email strategy and planning activities. i.e., leads content calendar development.
  • Collaborates with agency partners to develop and share updates and reports with marketing and sales departments. These reports are meant to inform key stakeholders about campaign performance, insights, and optimizations. Tasks to be accomplished in collaboration with agency partners include: pulling reports, analysing campaign performance, identifying opportunities for optimization, developing stakeholder facing documents to communicate performance successes, opportunities, and challenges
  • Furthers knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and shares best practices, and marketing ideas and tactics with the team
Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Journalism, or a related field preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years of previous Marketing Communications experience or in a related position is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
  • Experience with HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Google Analytics, WordPress, and content management systems is a plus
  • Must have exemplary project and process management skills, including the ability to manage long and short-term projects simultaneously
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and exercise sound judgment
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external parties
