Marketing Company Operational Excellence Champion

Location: Macclesfield UK, Wilmington/Gaithersburg US, Sweden

Join us as a Marketing Company Operational Excellence Champion, a role that is pivotal in embedding a culture of lean through the adoption of the Astra Zeneca Supply System (AZSS) and appropriate lean standard practices. This position requires strong cross-functional ways of working with both Quality and non-Quality members across the AstraZeneca Operations & Commercial network. Be the voice of the patient and be proud to play a critical role as the eyes and ears of our patients.

Accountabilities:

As an Operational Excellence Champion, you will be responsible for the deployment of Lean Capability Framework within Marketing Company Operations Quality. You will facilitate and lead improvement projects, develop and maintain global Quality metrics structure for monitoring and reporting, and support project teams created towards problem solving or specific issues. You will also be responsible for the deployment of Quality Culture initiatives within MCOQ.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a science / technical field such as Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering.

  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of cGMPs, Quality Systems and the pharmaceutical supply chain environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills [English and local language(s)]

  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and managing significant improvement initiatives

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong negotiating/influencing skills

  • Management of a complex and changing workload.

  • High level of customer focus and strong ability to reinforce and maintain quality standards.

  • Ability to work independently under their own initiative.

  • Understand relations between leading and lagging indicators.

  • Planning & Organizing Skills

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working in a PCO/PET organization or Lean/Six Sigma training.

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance or combination of Quality and Technical

  • Master Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs or other advanced scientific field

  • International /Multiple Site or Multi-functional experience.

  • Statistical Analysis Interpretation

  • Continuous Improvement Tools
