Marketing Event Assistant

As a Marketing Event Assistant you will help organise events directly and through 3rd parties that contribute to our brand and revenue ambitions, whilst providing support to the brand team. The role combines working at the brewery and with event locations so naturally includes some weekend, out of hours working and some travel to external events and venue.

Belhaven is Scotland's oldest working brewery and home to the nation's favourite ale and stout. We are proud of this brewery heritage which dates back over 300 years.

Your role as a Marketing Event Assistant

• Develop and lead the Belhaven event calendar, from internal brewery events and experiences, to appearances at trade shows and third party events, delivering activities on time and within allocated budgets.
• Support the Belhaven Senior Brand Manager in day-to-day marketing activities including product development, digital content creation and PR.
• Handle marketing admin tasks, such as raising PO’s, ordering of point of sale and entering awards.
• Maintain strong communications with various cross-functional departments (Sales, Brewing, Finance, Tech Services etc) and third party agencies to execute the annual brand plan.
• Assist the Belhaven Visitor Experience team with the running of the brewery shop, tours and events.
• Act as an ambassador for Belhaven at all times, whilst supporting community out-reach and brand partnerships.

What you’ll bring…

• Experience in a marketing role or events role or alcohol industry is advantageous.
• Can do mindset with fantastic attention to detail.
• Organised and able to overcome obstacles, whilst effectively managing several tasks at one time.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills and customer service ethic.
• Commercially aware and able to understand and apply internal processes and communication requirements within the business.
• Driver’s license essential.
