They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a Marketing Executive. In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing group marketing strategy, focusing on driving commercial lines at their 7 largest sites.
Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Executive:
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team, leadership, and the events sales team to take ownership of all marketing activities related to event income, supporting the sales plan.
- Establish and enhance the their brand, ensuring that the website and relevant racecourse websites are consistently updated.
- Work closely with the event sales team and creative agencies to produce eye-catching, on-brand collateral supporting marketing and sales activities.
- Collaborate with the CRM manager to develop segmentation and targeting strategies for conference & events customers.
- Grow the database through strategic initiatives and collaboration with the CRM manager.
- Coordinate and execute a comprehensive PR & comms strategy, utilising social, email, and digital channels to boost the profile of the business and drive leads.
- Conduct competitor analysis to inform package design, pricing, offers, and product development, aligning with market needs.
- Manage relationships with 3rd party partners to maximise venue exposure within budget constraints.
Experience and skills required of the Marketing Executive:
- Educated to degree level (desirable)
- Background in venue marketing, preferably in hospitality, conferences, and events.
- Experience in B2B and B2C marketing.
- Resource management and planning skills.
- Basic design ability with a creative eye (desirable).
- Customer acquisition experience, with a focus on digital.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence at a senior level.
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills, working effectively to deadlines.
- Positive self-starter with a can-do attitude.
- Creative mindset, willing to test, analyse, and refine new ideas.
