Marketing Intelligence Analyst - Year in Industry
The Marketing Intelligence Analyst role (Year in Industry placement) centres around understanding and analysing our lead generation activities, our customer database and growing prospect pool.
By administering our lead generation activities, analysing this data and measuring performance, the organisation is able to highlight the effectiveness of our marketing through the work carried out by this role.
Through the enhancement of data the MIA will also be able to identify new potential areas for business and create a clear picture of who our customers are via customer profiles and personas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate looking for a placement during their studies.
The role:
- Lead Generation. Collaborating with various colleagues to identify and increase the leads for the sales team through a variety of method including researching potential business opportunities via a number of sources.
- Customer & Market Insight. Working collaboratively with colleagues and third-party data sources to develop customer profiles/personas to achieve valuable customer and market insight.
- Reporting and Analysis. Creating and using a variety of reports to support the activities included in this role. The data reported on will include sales data, customer appointments and lead performance. Reports will be produced in our CRM system and via Microsoft Power BI.
- LeadGen Rewards. Managing our internal lead generation reward scheme which includes problem solving, analysis and communications with field-based colleagues and management.
- E-Business. Assisting with day to day running of the e-commerce store as well as monitoring our online chat system (HubSpot) and supporting customers will be a high priority for this role.
- Campaign Management. Administrating internal and external campaigns including our telemarketing campaigns. This will include working with data, logging successful leads/appointments and following up with campaign data after completion.
- Data Enhancement. Enhancing current data particularly focused around leads and contact information and updating this information via our CRM platform for use by marketing and sales.
- CRM System and Customer projects. Supporting the CRM team with maintenance of the system, ensuring our customer/prospect data is accurate. Other projects will also stem from this work.
- Working as a Key Member of the Team. Supporting colleagues in immediate and wider team with tasks including essential job cover when required including phone cover, live chat, and e-commerce.
To succeed, you will need:
- Ideally undertaking an undergraduate degree involving one of the following areas: Business or Economics though other degrees will be considered.
- Have a high level of analytical skill and enjoy working with large quantities of data, which will be key to succeeding in this role.
- Have at least an intermediate level skillset of working with a number of computing applications essentially Microsoft Excel but also a good knowledge on the other Microsoft Office applications. Any other system history is desirable but not essential.
- Have good communication skills through various methods including verbally and written as well as strong presentation skills as potential meetings with members of the management team will occur.
- Able to understand and work with a large number of different processes and be able to identify possible improvements.
- Be able to work well and effectively in a team as this role will involve working alongside colleagues in the wider organisation
- Be proactive thinking with a determination to succeed
