You’ll be a naturally organised person and a self-starter who is able to hit the ground running. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, have a good understanding of marketing principles, experience in campaign management and an eye for commercial opportunity with a willingness to get the job done. You’ll be full of ideas and be able to back them up with strategy and purpose.
Due to the nature of our business, you’ll need to be willing to gain a deep understanding of what it takes to operate an award winning bus and tram company. Understanding the cogs behind the operation which will empower you in your visible Marketing role.
You’ll also work across two brands – Blackpool Transport and Heritage Tram Tours.
This is a varied role with plenty of opportunity to input your own ideas and see them through. You’ll have a lot of autonomy to try new things and deliver on your own, as well as with the close support of your colleagues and team.
We have a flexible approach to working hours, predominantly Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm, working a 37 hour week.

Responsibilities:
- Organise and manage strategic Marketing Campaigns and objectives to ensure timely, successful delivery.
- Evaluate and report on campaign activity, finding opportunities for improvement and reporting on successes.
- Organise and book media as part of campaign activity.
- Responsible for creating marketing and creative briefs, working alongside our agency partners on ideas and delivery.
- Be our Brand Champion, protecting and promoting our values internally and ensuring brand consistency across all of our print, digital and campaign materials.
- Support internal departments with the provision of quality, consistent materials such as training & policy documents.
- Support the wider marketing team in identifying revenue generating initiatives through partnerships, initiatives and new product developments.
- Successfully underpin all business actions with strong communications.
Qualifications:

Education/Qualifications/Knowledge
- 1 year + recent experience in a Marketing role
- Educated to degree level, ideally in a relevant discipline
- Specific Marketing qualification at level 5 or above
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite
