Main Purpose of job:

Our client is currently recruiting for a marketing and social Media Assistant. The role will be to work directly with internal teams, external customers, and suppliers, at their head office based in Gloucester.

They are looking for someone, ideally with a background in marketing, with a keen interest in social media and developing key marketing strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running campaigns, to include managing the company LinkedIn pages and company website. The candidate will be able to demonstrate flexibility, have good written English skills, attention to detail and ideally have a keen interest in social media, marketing, and content creation.

Main tasks of job:

• Create and arrange engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email marketing and websites.
• Creativity skills and ability to use Canva to create visuals.
• Update website content as required including news articles.
• Take photographs for digital and print channels and to enhance imagery.
• Nurture our client database with business updates, newsletters, and promotions.
• Support the planning and execution of events and promotional activities.
• Assist in the production of marketing material such as brochures, presentations, and advertisements.
• Collaborate with a small internal team to ensure brand consistency and effective communication.
• Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging marketing tools.
• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, client preferences, and competitive analysis.
• Admin support as and when required.

Essential Skills:

• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and multi-tasking skills.
• Good time management skills.
• The ability to work under pressure, grasp concepts quickly and archive set targets and critical deadlines.
• Good word processing and spreadsheet skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail, including effective proof-reading skills.
• A passion for writing.
• Digital marketing experience.
• Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Graphic capability (Canva (or equivalent), super important as you will need to be able to hit the ground running).

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in communication, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
• English Language C or above (or equivalent)
• At least one year's experience in a similar role.
