JOB POSITION:  MATERIAL HANDLER

Vacation: 2 weeks of vacation per year (pro-rated for the first year depending on start date). 5-12 years of service, 3 weeks. 13+ years of service, 4 weeks.

Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Unload/load materials and deliver to appropriate manufacturing area.

2. Safely move material between departments safely.

3. Performs daily inspections, keeps equipment charged/fueled and monitors fluid levels.

4. Prepare and organize material for upcoming shifts.

5. Establish and maintain communication between departments.

6. Ability to Read Blueprints

7. Utilize forklifts. Various sizes and capacities.

8. Utilize Cranes to safely transport heavy components throughout the Production areas.

9. Rig and lift misc. machine components using chain and web slings.

10. Provide daily updates to supervisor.

 

 

EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to read/write English.

 

EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years’ experience operating forklifts with lifting capacity of 12,000lbs or more. Must have advanced forklift skills. Must be able to address multiple tasks at the same time. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 60-80 lbs. Excellent organization and time management skills. Team player.

 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
