LINKS Recruitment Group are pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a Material Handler/ Crane Operator to play an integral part of the manufacturing/production team that offers the opportunity to work within an industry leading international manufacturing company based in Yate who are continuously growing and achieving company goals year on year.
In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a 10Tside loader and gantry crane, loading, unloading and transporting materials around the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating side loaders and gantry cranes, and will have a strong focus on safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain our side loader and gantry crane.
- Load and unload raw and completed materials using the side loader.
- Transport materials around the facility using the side loader.
- Conduct daily safety checks on the side loader and gantry crane.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure efficient and safe operation of the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported and containers loaded and unloaded.
- Cleaning and general housekeeping
- Handling and transporting heavy lifts
- General operative duties
- Supporting in other departments if required
- Abel to work independently
- Reporting issues with equipment’s or unsafe conditions
Requirements:
- Experience operating side loaders and gantry cranes.
- Valid certification for operating a side loader and gantry crane.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
Role: Permanent
Salary: £14-15ph (£29,120 - £31,200 per year)
Shifts: Day Shifts
Monday to Thursday 7:15am – 4:30pm, Friday 7am – 12:45pm
