Job Title: Material Scheduling Assistant

Company Overview: You will be joining a leading Food Manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers. The business are committed to operational excellence and are seeking a detail-oriented Material Scheduling Assistant to join the dynamic team in Burton-on-Trent.
Position Overview: As a Material Scheduling Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and administrative processes related to sub-contracting and booking in at 3PL locations. You will also provide holiday cover for Material Schedulers and assist in maintaining efficient operations within the supply chain department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all administrative duties pertaining to sub-contracting and booking in at 3PL locations are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide holiday cover for Material Schedulers to ensure continuity in scheduling processes.
- Resolve all invoice queries within 24 hours to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaise with Warehouse to ensure special deliveries to 3PL’s are sent out accurately and on time, while maintaining proper records.
- Raise transfer orders for 3PL’s and raise PO’s for critical lines to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor stock at risk at site and 3PL’s to prevent stock shortages or excesses.
- Book in all 3PL deliveries and check delivery notes promptly, highlighting any concerns immediately.
- Serve as the main point of contact for any stock and information discrepancies on 3PL reports.
- Run daily reports on outstanding deliveries and inbound service level, utilizing information to improve and report on supplier and inbound performance.
- Monitor, report, and resolve on-hold items in collaboration with Technical, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
- Encourage and support the site's food safety culture to maintain product safety, quality, and legality.
- Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures relevant to the site and the working environment.
- Perform any other duties as deemed reasonable by your Line Manager or Senior Management to assist with the operation of the business.
Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or Material Scheduling role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
