Job description

During this first ever Materials Graduate Program, your mission will be to assist with the sourcing and development of fabrics and prints, building on Gymshark's Material strategy and creative vision. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-growing, ever-changing company, with support and training on all aspects of fabric and printed fabric development.

Program Start Date: 2nd September, 2024
Program Duration: Two Years
Program Location: Blythe Valley Park in Shirley, West Midlands, UK

Salary: £27,000 per annum

What you'll learn

Across this program you will learn about all aspects of fabric development, starting with colour & dying, garment trim development and sourcing, seamless/cut & sew fabrics innovation and development through to packaging accessories & garments and how we bring things to market and our community.

You will gain valuable knowledge of how the material team collaborates with adjacent functions across the business, and externally with nominated partner vendors.

You will gain insight on how we plan and work within critical path timelines for the Gymshark seasonal calendars to develop, source and execute world-class fabrics and associated trims to sit within the brands strategy and creative vision.

What you'll need

We're not about box-ticking and our Graduate Programs are about developing you.

To be successful for our Materials Graduate Program with us, you will:

  • Have acquired (or finishing) a BA/BSc degree in a relevant Textiles subject (most likely, Materials Science, Textiles Science, Fabric Technology, Textile Fashion or similar)
  • Be able to showcase your passion and interest in textile innovation and where the future of fabrics is going.
  • Have a demonstrable knowledge of fabrics & yarns.

What happens next?

Application Outcomes: Early May
If successful, you will be invited to complete a video interview in your own time so we can get to know the person behind the application.

Video Interview Outcomes: End of May
If successful, you will be invited to an in person assessment day at Gymshark HQ in June.

✅ Be happy to work from our HQ campus (Shirley, West Midlands, UK) 4-5 days a week
✅ Be ready to start from September 2024 for two years
✅ Have full, unsponsored right to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship for our Graduate Programs)
