Materials Planner
Our client who is a renowned luxury yacht manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Materials Planner to join their team. As a Materials Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials through our client's supply chain, optimising inventory levels, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assure material supply for production schedules and minimum safety stock levels.
Understand and manage risks to minimise impacts on production schedules.
Coordinate modifications with the supply base to minimise obsolete stock and ensure material availability.
Initiate inventory management and stock adjustments for record accuracy.
Monitor inventory levels and develop supplier relationships for delivery improvements.
Negotiate "special transport" costs while ensuring material availability.
Recover costs due to supplier liability and assist in invoice resolution.
Plan, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery.
Assess volume requirements and manage risks to minimise impacts on production schedules.
Utilise Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or IT systems for accurate data.
Monitor Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity and create regular reports.
Work with MIS to maintain data integrity.
Requirements:
Previous materials planning experience in manufacturing.
Understanding of supply chain processes and supplier relationships.
Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and MRP systems.
Excellent attention to detail
