Role - Materials Testing Technician (fire testing/chemistry/physics)
Salary - Competitive starting salary
Location - Warrington area
Type-Full-Time, permanent Monday - Friday 9-5pm (30-minute break) 37.5-hour week
Benefits- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, 6% EE/ 6% ER pension Contribution, Life assurance x 4

Responsibilities
• Liaise closely with clients to ensure that their requirements are met which will include quoting and contracting projects.
• Be responsible for all aspects of testing projects (delivery, accuracy, costing etc.).
• Ensure tests meet the required standards this will involve reading, checking, interpreting and validating results and ensure that they are completed to specification and on time.
• Ensure that any inaccurate results are investigated
• Help provide support and training to junior members of the team
• Prepare and document any test reports for clients
• Calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain equipment
• Regular use of CRM systems and IT packages
The person
• BSc in science/engineering related field (chemistry or physics desirable) or equivalent
• Industry experience in a testing lab or construction/Materials Testing which will include analysis and interpretation of test results
• Ideally an interest or understanding of how things are put together/work.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD would be beneficial.
• Ability to work under pressure and within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to build good rapport and develop relationships.
• Excellent decision-making skills
• Enjoys working within a team, but comfortable to work on your own too.
