The Role
The Faculty of Maths wishes to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Lecturer to provide high quality teaching to 16-18s and adults in a busy further education environment.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver excellence in teaching and learning. Ability to relate to and motivate students from a variety of backgrounds and ages, and to employ effective teaching strategies.
All applicants should be able to teach GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to all ages and must possess proven experience of delivering this subject. You must also have a recognised teaching qualification (Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent); at least a Literacy/English qualification at Level 3 with experience of teaching GCSE English and a Numeracy/Maths qualification at Level 2. A Level 5 qualification in Literacy (e.g. ADTLLS) is also required or a willingness to undertake this as a programme of study.
