You will be teaching Maths in an academy that places students at the heart of everything it does and that’s committed to becoming a centre of excellence in the East Midlands.
Academy leaders have made vast improvements to the curriculum in the past few years and you will be clear on what you need to teach. In your lessons students will follow a Mastery curriculum, spending a whole half term on each topic area. This allows them to really explore and dig deep into the Maths that they are learning and establish links between topics as they build their understanding through the years.
Your pupils’ attainment is above the national average and they show high levels of consideration and respect for others. They are confident, articulate and take pride in being a member of their academy community. Your pupils behave very well in lessons, they are polite, listen carefully and follow instructions. This allows you to focus on teaching, almost always without interruption.
The academy provides you with a range of valuable subject and leadership training, supported by the wider Trust, and your colleagues speak highly of how they’ve benefitted from this, particularly early – career teachers. That, teamed with the consideration that leaders give to workload and wellbeing make the academy an attractive place to work with high morale amongst the existing team.
The academy is based in rural Leicestershire and is recruiting a permanent Maths Teacher (QTS) to join it’s expanding curriculum offering. You will be teaching Maths to KS3, KS4 & 6th Form pupils and inspiring them to exceed their target grades.
This is an exciting permanent opportunity for an ECT (early career teacher) or an experienced teacher to join a ‘Good’ school.
