SalaryWe are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in South Pontefract. This full-time role commences in September and is a permanent role. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering the Maths Curriculum to pupils across KS3 and KS4, supporting the department in achieving high standards of education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with the Maths department to enhance the curriculum and share best teaching practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school training events.
- Maintain a positive learning environment that promotes student well-being and discipline.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- QTS Teaching qualification (PGCE, SCITT, MEd, Cert. Ed, etc.) or equivalent.
- A relevant BA/MA in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Experience delivering the Maths curriculum up to GCSE and A-Level is desirable.
- A proactive team member committed to raising standards and student achievement.
- Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
- Right to Work in the UK (Visa Sponsorship not provided).
