We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, conscientious and energetic classroom practitioner who is passionate about Maths to join a supportive and well-resourced maths department. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a love for mathematics and a commitment to making a difference to the young people of St Helens and surrounding areas.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

• Location -St Helens
• Position - Maths Teacher (KS3/4), KS5 (ideally, but not essential for most schools)
• Type of work - Teaching

• Minimum rate of pay - from £140 per day
• Hours - 8:15am - 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however, it is not essential that it is Maths related)
• Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Maths
• Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
• Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
• Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80
• Provide a minimum of two professional references
