M&E Maintenance & Repair Technician
Role Description
The M&E Maintenance & Repair Technician will operate under the supervision of a Level 5 M&E Field Manager as part of the overall team to ensure that pumps are effectively maintained. This will be throughout all M&E areas.
Through the application of appropriate mechanical and electrical engineering standards associated with the delivery of a high quality pump diagnostic, repair and maintenance service the M&E Maintenance & Repair Technician will ensure that equipment availability is optimised and that NIW is able to comply with its regulatory and statutory obligations.
In addition the M&E Maintenance & Repair Fitter will provide information and support the establishment of suitable benchmarking mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness of the pump maintenance centre.
They will also provide a supporting role for the designated Field Manager(s)

Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview:
1. Have a relevant Mechanical or Electrical National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 3 (Or Equivalent) AND have completed a Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship WITH a minimum of three years relevant post apprenticeship trade experience working as a M&E Maintenance Craftsman.
AND
2. Experience in the installation, modification & testing of Electrical\mechanical apparatus and systems in accordance with the current Regulations
3. Knowledge of engineering regulations and health and safety requirements relating to mechanical\Electrical repair and installation, and the ability to apply sound engineering principles to ensure the continuous safe and reliable operation of mechanical assets.
4. Potential employees must have a permanent residence within 30 miles travelling distance by public road to Omagh Workshop, 69 Gortin Rd, Omagh BT79 7HT as measured by RAC Route Planner from full postcode to full postcode via the ‘shortest route’ selection on the website. This is to enable NI Water to meet its key customer service requirements and deliver effective services to customers, particularly in respect of the need to respond promptly to out of hours emergencies

- Basic salary of £31,400.92 per annum*
* This payment is made up of a consolidated value of £26,019.96 and a nonconsolidated value of £5,380.92 per annum, overtime rates are based on the consolidated value only.
