M&E Project Manager

Your new company
A large social housing provider in South Yorkshire is looking for a Heating, Mechanical and Electrical Project Manager to join their organisation. This role is permanent and offers hybrid working (office/on site/WFH).
Your new role
You will be working as an M&E Project Manager. This client works in the social housing sector looking after over 30,000 properties across Sheffield. The role will be based at their head office in Sheffield, though there will be a need to attend site to carry out surveys or attend meetings.
Within this position you will be responsible for successes in the team, overseeing domestic projects.
You will be required to estimate, tender, manage & deliver these projects from start to finish as well as the procurement and financial elements. You will also become the Responsible Officer for legionella management within L8 regulations.
As the M&E Project Manager, you will be a key point of contact for direct staff and contractors, as well as partners, networks and a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring all projects run smoothly and all health and safety measures are followed.
Working within the team, responding to requests to prepare quotations from information provided, including site surveys, and tendering for work, as necessary, Organising and monitoring call outs on various sites, all kinds of systems and plant areas. Assisting with the allocation of manpower with others in your team, Managing and assisting in the organisation of projects including financial control and day to day organisation of sites, Preparation and implementation of method statements and risk assessments and monitoring adherence, Assisting with tendering and helping with schematics, Scheduling and ordering of materials, Ensuring operatives comply with staff procedures with attention to vehicles, appearance, PPE, workplace/site, health and safety awareness, Dealing with technical/fault finding issues and specialist installation queries, Control of Sub-Contractors including the overseeing of specialist commissioning contractors and reporting on validation work, Customer liaison including sales and marketing, to help develop existing relationships and actively seek new business opportunities, Ensuring compliance with staff procedures with adherence to Health and Safety, Ensuring ISO standards are met in accordance with the role.
What you'll need to succeed

• NVQ level 4/5 in gas or electrical field
• Experience in domestic and commercial M&E sector
• Previous managerial experience with relevance to M&E sector
• ACS Accreditation (CCN1,CEN1, HTR1,WAT1) OR 18th edition electrical qualification
• A thorough understanding of legionella legislation
• Experience delivering health and safety within gas and electrical works
• Asbestos aware
