Major Recruitment is seeking a Meat Technical Operative to be based at Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.
Working hours are 39 hours per week.
Monday to Thursday 7am start and Friday 06:30 - early finish.
Salary is 13.50 - 14.00 ph, ideally you need to have red meat experience.
As a succesful Meat Technical Operative your duties will include;
- Ensuring passport and traceability check are carried out to agreed procedures and schedules.
- Ensure all products are labelled to specification.
- Compile non-conformance logs and take appropriate action.
- Check product and steriliser temperatures.
- Collect microbiological samples and label as appropriate.
- Monitor general product quality and advise department supervisors/managers of any issues.
- Product quality checks, temperature checks, metal detection verification, environmental swabbing, equipment calibration, products weight checks, tare checks, labels checks.
- To adhere to current legislation with regards to safe food production.
- Understanding of HACCP
As a successful Meat Technical Operative your skills will include;
- Resourceful and adaptable.
- Willing to change tasks or departments as production requires.
- Able to communicate with all the other staff and able to understand the company's written records and documents.
- Able to work in a team or on your own.
- Able to carry out the daily tasks that are reasonably required.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in a similar role.
Training is provided and there will be a great oppurtunity to progress and develop in the role.
