Mechanic / MET Technician

Salary: OTE GBP60,000+ includes Bonus, overtime and excellent company benefits

FMG Repair Services, part of the ReddeNorthgate Group, is the leading and largest, comprehensive automotive repairer in the UK. With 65 equipped bodyshops, FMG Repair Services boasts one of the broadest range of repair solutions and services in the industry today.

The workshop in Lutoncompletes over 150 repairs a month and you'll join a great team of 14 technicians, including Paint, Panel, and MET. As a busy site, we ensure you are supported by colleagues working face-to-face with customers to let you focus on what you're great at. Most of our work in Luton, is for our insurance partners/Hi-Tech/Prestige Accredited OEM Partners, supporting our NVH sister company with LCV fleet/Hybrid or EV Fleet.

The Role

• Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical components.
• Removing and re-installing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Following job cards and repairing to manufacturing and Thatcham methodologies.
• Removing and fitting non-structural body panels and trim.
• Assessing and diagnosing faults.
• Knowledge of ADAS calibration and coding would be an advantage

Key Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working in a similar role; MET Technician, Bodyshop Technician, Body Fitter, Bodyshop Mechanic, Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Stripper or Fitter is preferred
• Ideally qualified to IMI, NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
• Full Manual UK Driving Licence.
