Mechanical Building Services Manager

This is a great opportunity for a mechanical Building Services Manager to join a prestigious client to manage all mechanical systems within their buildings portfolio.

The Role
Dealing with all matters relating to the heating, cooling, ventilation systems and asbestos management for the organisation’s buildings portfolio.
Maintenance of current assets - ensure the asset register, drawings and specifications are well-organised and recorded.
Ensure any new mechanical systems are specified correctly and provide overview for any mechanical construction works.
Evaluation and inspection of mechanical systems, produce estimates for the long term maintenance programme.
Design, specify, tender and project manage (directly or via an external consultant), any improvements or new systems.
Review all water systems (heating/cooling), ensure maintenance of systems and compliance with Legionella and H&S regulations.
Asbestos management - any planning, programming of buildings inspections.

Experience Required
A Building Services Engineering degree or equivalent.
A good understanding of the current building legislation, regulation and compliance for mechanical services within buildings and asbestos control regulations.
Project management capabilities for managing maintenance contracts for the systems across the buildings portfolio as well as project managing the design and installation of new systems.
Experience of report writing and technical specifications.
Knowledge of CAD and Hevacomp
