Position:Mechanical Contracts Manager

Location: West Midlands

Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience

My client  is a reputable medium-sized M&E contractor known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services. We specialize in a wide range of projects, including new builds and refurbishments, across the commercial, residential, educational, and healthcare sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team and manage projects valued at £2m and above.

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for managing new build and refurbishment projects from inception to completion, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of Mechanical Contracts, including new build and refurbishment projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive working environment among project teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager within the building services and new project sector.
  • Strong background in managing projects within the commercial, residential, educational, and healthcare sectors.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems, installation practices, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Valid driving license.
