Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Specialist Engineering business based in the Essex region. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Mechanical Design Engineer will be varied however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.Generate manufacturing drawings and equipment layouts, supporting all mechanical documentation.
2.Maintain existing mechanical drawings and documentation when any equipment is modified, upgraded or installed.
3.Act as the point of contact between the drawing office and Mechanical technicians or sub-contractors, ensuring all necessary parts are ordered for equipment assembly.
4.Ensure all mechanical drawings are updated efficiently in a timely manner throughout the lifecycle of the project, sharing all relevant details with required departments, and maintaining the data management system. (Autodesk Vault)
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Mechanical Design Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and history:
1. Relevant Mechanical Design Engineer experienced within an Industrial design role.
2. Proven industry experience working as a Design Engineer.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience of Autodesk tools.
