Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you a talented Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new opportunity? We have an exciting position available in Glenrothes for a skilled individual to join our client's team.

The Role

• Design and engineer new and existing products according to company procedures.
• Develop conceptual designs into detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with external manufacturing partners to ensure efficient production processes.
• Provide technical solutions for manufacturing and assembly challenges.
• Produce technical specifications, operating procedures, and manuals.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.
• Report technical progress and issues to line management.
• Contribute to cost estimation of product portfolio.
• Design machine shop fixturing, tooling, and procedures.

The Candidate

• HND (or higher) qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as PTC Creo, SolidWorks, or SolidEdge.
• Experience with CNC machining and casting design.
• Familiarity with Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning.
• Knowledge of material application and specification.
• Ability to produce professional technical documentation.
• Previous experience with ERP systems, ideally Visual.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to oversee projects to completion.
• Experience with rendering and animations software (e.g., Keyshot) advantageous.
