This senior level Mechanical Design Engineer role would suit a degree or HNC/HND or degree qualified mechanical or electromechanical R&D professional with good CAD experience (ideally SOLDWORKS or similar) and hands on experience of machinery design, special purpose machine design, process machine design within the factory industrial manufacturing production industry. This opportunity has arisen due to succession planning so now is a great time to join my client to learn and develop from the wealth of experience on offer.

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer candidate will have the below skills and experiences;

• Experience of machinery design, special purpose machine design, process machinery design within an industrial, manufacturing, production factory industry or similar
• Awareness of machinery safety standards and process machinery applications
• HND / HNC engineering / Mechanical Design/ Electro mechanical engineering degree qualifications or equivalent (B.eng, M.eng etc).
• Good practical experience of CAD (SOLIDWORKS advantageous but AUTOCAD other CAD packages are suitable)
• Full UK driving licence and passport as there will be occasional travel to European and international offices
• Experience knowledge of thermal, steam, gas thermal oxidiser, burner process etc would be advantageous
• Any CNC experience (desirable)

You will be working ondesignated projects, producing detail designs for the company’s machines development of machine design complying with the relevant international and UK company standards to design specification.
