Mechanical Design Engineer - North West - up to £50,000 + Benefits + Overtime Available - Ref 1645

I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work for an engineering organisation based in the North West that has been running over 20 years. They have continuously been growing and now have 160 employees. Salary up to £50,000 + Benefits + Overtime Available.

This company are market leaders within their area of specialism and have their products distributed across the UK. Despite operating at the forefront of the market they serve; they do not lean back and rest on laurels and are continuously developing as a company.

To support the growth of the business they now have the need to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role as a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be a Senior Engineer, within the Design Team of 5 people, seeing through the full design life cycle. In this role you will be designing bespoke steel structures based on customer requirements and requests. This technical role is complimented by experienced steel fabricators and installation capabilities to enable customer requirements to be fulfilled.

Essential Requirements:

• 3+ years' Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Experience with Solidworks
• Structural steelwork design

Beneficial Requirements:

• Design of Material Handling Machinery (e.g. conveyors, crushers, hoppers, screens, skids, etc.)
