Our client is a well established consultancy providing M&E Design services to their varied client base. The company are well established with over ten years of successful trading. The role has come about due to organic growth and provides an environment where people can develop and progress their careers. You will be working closely with a talented team of Directors to deliver the companies services.

The company provide Mechanical and Electrical design services to the commercial, education, healthcare residential and public sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who can help the team deliver schemes on time and within budget. They are happy to meet with established professionals looking for an environment where they can utilise their skill sets with independence or up and coming Design Engineers who are looking for a position with a clear path to senior level.

ROLE:

• Producing documentation, assessment/condition reports, survey reports, basis of designs, procurement specifications, etc., tailored to required stage of project completion, covering all aspects of mechanical Building Services.
• Produce detailed design calculations to support design requirements.
• Carry out detailed surveys of mechanical services and equipment to establish the extent, condition, and operational status of the existing of installations and gain enough information to complete reports and findings.
• Production and review of detailed design calculations to support design proposals.
• Production and review of detailed design drawings, layouts and schematics including heating, ventilation, LTHW, Chilled Water, specialist LEV and BMS installations.
• Production and review of Specifications and plant schedules
• Supporting the preparation of bids and estimates

CANDIDATE:

• Degree in Building Services, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of current Building Regulations and relevant Legislation.
• Knowledge of ventilation guidelines and standards.
• Experience of using design software such as Hevacomp, IES.
• Design of ventilation, air conditioning and cooling systems.
• Revit and AutoCAD knowledge and experience will be beneficial.
