Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
- Location: Lancashire
- Type: Permanent
- Start Date: ASAP
Remuneration & Benefits:
- Salary: £37,000-£42,000 + benefits
- Holidays: 33 days, including 8 statutory holidays.
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible start/finish).
Primary Responsibilities: Your role as a Mechanical Design Engineer is transforming conceptual equipment designs into reality, creating 3D models and drawings. You will be highly involved in the manufacturing and testing stages.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Develop drawings and designs using Autodesk Inventor.
- Build pump and equipment specifications, primarily based around API 610.
- Generate equipment Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Work closely with customers to refine designs and solutions.
- Oversee projects in the pump test bed and engineering shop, ensuring seamless delivery.
- End-to-end project management of individual engineered solutions.
- Work exclusively with key customer accounts, participating in regular communication.
