Mechanical Design Manager – London
I am working with a leading Main Contractor who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Manager to work on their largest ever scheme in East London.
The MEP value is circa £40 million and you will be involved from stage 4.1 onwards.
The Mechanical Design Manager will lead a team of engineers who provide technical support to the Construction Team. Your responsibilities will include:-
Overall engineering responsibility for mechanical systems.
Provide technical support to team for mechanical systems.
Manage and monitor the Stage 4.1 MEP designer.
Develop technical solutions within given time frame & budget.
Manage / undertake the Stage 4.2-Stage 5 MEP design/coordination checking and review.
Lead coordinated drawing planning & production, review and sign-off including management of CAD staff.
Work closely with the Supply Chain to ensure best value and manages variations / value engineering / re-engineering.
Lead timely equipment approval / procurement.
Lead CDP Packages including coordination between trades.
Chair design coordination meetings and drawing workshops with the client & stakeholders.
Monitor design deliverables against the programme & advise any changes to that programme.
Support the project team on technical matters with the client & or stakeholders.
Following on from the successful delivery of this project, you would then move into a Pre-Construction Manager role based within London.
On offer is a salary of £80 – 95k + car allowance + package.
