We are seeking Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to support the business. Maintenance Engineers play a pivotal role in ensuring production machinery, assembly lines and equipment are maintained and repaired as required to ensure the maximum operation uptime, working to all relevant procedures to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Environmental objectives are met.
Shift Pattern Information:
Candidates will be expected to be flexible to work a shift aligned with production scheduling. Shifts worked incur a premium payment.
Working days are Monday to Friday & currently operating on a three-shift working pattern. There may be occasions/opportunities to work alternative shift patterns in future.
Working Hours for 3 shift pattern which incurs a 27.5% premium are:
- Earlies: Monday: 6.30am- 3pm Tuesday – Thursday: 7am – 3pm Friday: 7am – 12pm
- Lates: Monday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm Friday: 12pm-5.30pm
- Nights: Monday – Thursday: 11pm – 7am Friday: 5.30pm – 11pm
Day shift which does not incur a shift premium are:
Monday 7am – 4pm. Tuesday – Thursday 7am – 15.30pm & Fridays 7am – 12pm
Contract type:
Permanent with 90 day probation period
- Perform fault-finding and diagnosis on a range of Siemens PLC controlled equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, CNC machines and robots in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.
- Be responsible for the recording of all work undertaken.
- Analysis and resolution of Electrical and Mechanical faults and repairs, driving for continuous improvements to machinery.
- Follow safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Work alongside other Maintenance Engineers to combine a great deal of initiative and enthusiasm with a sound understanding of electrical and mechanical issues.
- Work with Vendors, Production and Process Engineering teams to ensure optimum uptime and improvements to machines.
- Previous employment in a Maintenance Engineering role.
- Experience of preventive maintenance, fault-finding, diagnosis of faults on pneumatics, hydraulics, leadscrews, spindles, PLC and CNC machines and assembly lines ideally.
- Understanding of Profibus systems.
- Siemens S7 PLC, Solution line, Power Line, 840D and Automation Drive Experience.
- Excellent communication skills; Technical cross shift handover / line up.
- Experience of utilising Mechanical & Electrical technical manuals and drawings.
- Essential: PC Literate, Ability to work under pressure, part of a team, effective multitasker with a “can do” attitude.
- Recognised Engineering Craft Apprenticeship and ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Candidates must supply a copy of certificates relating to relevant qualifications if shortlisted.
