Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE

Parkside Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to provide technical support to a sales team.

Role:

You will be carrying out the duties of a Mechanical Engineer whilst providing technical support to an internal sales team.

Duties:

• Carry out innovative products related R&D.
• Must be an expert user of Solid Works 3D CAD software in an engineering and product development environment.
• Use engineering expertise and materials knowledge to improve and automate product production processes.
• Design, build and adapt production and test machinery.
• Discuss, identify, and resolve complex issues with both customers and suppliers.
• Provide technical support to the sales team and customers.
• Preparation of process, product documentation and data sheets.
• Identification and selection of materials for the use in products.
• Commission and maintain, plant and systems.

Relevant Qualifications and Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 7 years in a similar role.
• Experience of electrical engineering or electronic.
• Experience of designing for metal stamped components, injection moulding, preparation of drawings for machined parts, and pneumatic systems.
• Advanced user of Solid Works.
• Driving License.
• IT skills including Excel, Advanced 3D CAD.
• Precise and concise English for business and engineering.
