We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to join the growing team in Nottingham, supporting nationwide for both private and public sector clients on a wide variety of projects.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Manage smaller contracts
- Prepare designs and reports
- Deputise for senior staff as appropriate
- Liaise directly with Clients and Contractors
- Supervise junior staff on a day-to-day basis
- Help ensure projects are delivered to the right scope of time, quality and budget.
- Responsible for ensuring that they (and where appropriate their team) understand and comply with all Health & Safety requirements, practices, and procedures

We are looking for an experienced and design-focused Mechanical Engineer who has the desire and capabilities to develop their career within a people and client orientated construction and property consultancy.
Key knowledge and experience we’d like you to have:
• HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
• Design experience with consultant or contractor
• Knowledge of engineering principles
• Knowledge of current legislation e.g., Building Regulations
• Awareness of electrical services principles – desirable
• Knowledge of H&S / CDM requirements
• Mechanical design software experience
• Heating-, cooling- and ventilation system design experience
• Domestic water services design experience
• Knowledge of specification writing / NBS Engineering
• Verbal communication – able to liaise with clients, contractors, fellow professionals
• Written communication – report letter, specification writing
