Mechanical Fitter

The four main divisions - FABRICATION, WATER CONTROL, SITE SERVICES, and ENVIRONMENTAL - have consistently delivered bespoke designs and construction projects in the water, energy, and environmental sectors. They proudly collaborate with renowned organizations such as ANGLIAN WATER, SEVERNTRENT, COAL AUTHORITY, and government agencies.
Maintaining canals and waterways and boast an in-house fabrication shop specializing in structural steel, bridges, and nuclear decommissioning boxes. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join the team, covering from East Midlands into Lincolnshire & East Anglia, merging into Central Region.

The role:

• Installing mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings.
• Fitting of steel support systems.
• Fault finding on mechanical equipment.
• Works can be varied and at times may be required to undertake other duties such as assisting an Electrician or Civils engineer.
• Working away from home on occasion (likely Monday – Friday).
• Implement all of the company's rules or procedures within the Health and Safety Policy that are appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
• Understand and sign onto all CPP/RAMS on Site and follow Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments. 

About you: 

• Mechanical apprenticeship or level 3 Mechanical qualification as minimum.
• Confined Space trained (current)
• CSCS Card Holder 
• Lifting operations qualified (CPCS) (Desirable)
• First Aid (Desirable)
• Health and Safety trained (IOSH) (Desirable)
