About the Role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will work with the current engineering team in bespoke machinery build and development. This will include in-house product assembly & modifications, commissioning, product development and site installations.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

• Mechanical aluminium extrusion frame assembly.
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings for constructions of machines.
• Mechanical construction of machinery tools and measuring and validation of assembly.
• Rework of tooling parts, using milling machine, lathes and workshop tools.
• Pneumatics and sensors installation of all machine tools.
• Assembly of robot grippers and installation of robot tooling.
• Assembly and fitting of production machines.
• Commissioning / Development of machines alongside the software / electrical engineer.
• Identifying points of failure on all tooling and machine assemblies.

About you

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• Good time keeping and the ability to self-manage tasks in line with a build program.
• Experience in a similar role within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical fitting and assembly experience.
• Understanding of Engineering drawings.
• Experience using of all types of machinery.
• Mechanical assembly work experience.
