Employing around 20 people at their Barnsley facility, this family owned engineering business design, manufacture, install and service bespoke machinery. Since their establishment around 20 years ago, they have successfully supplied into a number of sectors, including Food Manufacturing/FMCG, Nuclear Power, Glass Processing and Construction.
Because of heightened demand of their products & services, this employer is currently searching for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team on an initial contract basis for 2-3 months.
The successful Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for:
- Building and assembling bespoke automated machinery & equipment, directly from engineering & technical drawings/diagrams
- Using a range of tools & fitting techniques to ensure that machines/equipment are assembled in line with specification
- Offering support, guidance and advice to colleagues where required and a small team of skilled Mechanical and Electrical engineers
- Occasionally travelling to customer sites to instal, service, repair and maintain equipment
Working Hours of the Mechanical Fitter:
39 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift
- Monday to Wednesday - 7:30AM to 5:30PM
- Thursday - 7:30AM to 5PM
In return, the Mechanical Fitter will receive:
- Hourly Rates: PAYE: 17.75 / Umbrella PAYE: 24.85
- Permanent employment with a growing business

- Holiday Entitlement: 28 Days including public holidays (PAYE)
