Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
To work as part of a multi-disciplined team to assist planning and carrying out tasks successfully.
Installation of hydraulic and pneumatic ship machinery and equipment following current up to date engineering drawings.
Carry out routine commissioning checks including pipework checks and machinery reporting back to the Supervisor
To have the capability to communicate issues and problems with the relevant knowledge and ease.
Diagnosis of malfunctioning machinery using detailed manuals and drawings.
Carry out quality inspections on new equipment
Work with both minimum supervision and as part of a team to successfully reach goals set to them.

Required Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
Experience of working in a shipbuilding environment
Certified time served apprenticeship/C&G/HNC/HND
PAYE only, standard week Mon - Thurs 37 hours
Night shift
20.18/h plus 2.44/h holiday accrual
OT rate paid after 37 hours (OT is the same for all shifts,its only the standard hours that are uplifted for NS)
21.73 plus 2.62/h holiday accrual
Contract is on an on going basis, long term
