Mechanical Inspector (Trainee CMM)

Training Provided to Learn CMM Operating & Programming!
Salary: 25,000 - 35,000 doe
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:45 Friday 08:00 - 12:30)

Essentials to Be Considered for this Role:

• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with mechanical inspection tools such as verniers, micrometres, calipers etc.

Mechanical Inspector Duties:

• Carrying out mechanical inspection using verniers, calipers, micrometres, gauges etc.
• Raising Non-Conformance reports (NCR) and RCCA - be familiar with problem solving methodologies such as 5 why's, 8D, Ishikawa etc.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Generating inspection reports such as FAIRS (training can be provided).

Mechanical Inspector Profile:

• Generate inspection reports, First article inspection reports (F.A.I.R), Release documentation, Non-conformance reports etc. within the company MRP system (desirable but not essential, training will be provided).
• CMM operating and programming (desirable but not essential, training will be provided).
• Experience working as a Mechanical Inspector in an ISO 9001/AS9100 organization, preferably with experience in the Aerospace or oil and gas industry.
• Computer literate and experience using Word, Excel, and a company MRP system.
• Experience raising release documentation.
• A general understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements.
