Our client is a well established medical equipment provider for acute and primary healthcare worldwide. They provide reliable, high-quality medical equipment products for operating theatres and critical care in over 70 countries.
They are looking to add a Mechanical Installation and Service Engineer to the team responsible for the installation of equipment packages. This role involves site visits primarily in the South of the UK and may also include visits throughout the UK when needed. Working closely with the Installations team the Mechanical Installation and Service Engineer will install and commission all Medical kit/equipment.
Candidates with knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering would be encouraged to apply. Although the position sits in the medical equipment field, those that have transferable skills from relevant industries are also encouraged to apply.
Role:
- Follow all Company's Installation process and work instructions, always working in a safe, responsible and organised manner and adhering to best practice standards
- Liaise with key stakeholders onsite and internally
- Conduct site surveys as requested to identify any deviations from scope of works
- Review job cards ensuring correct delivery of materials, equipment and tools required for site-specific installation works
- The Mechanical Installation and Service Engineer Work to schedules of work in order to meet installation timelines
- Participate in training/learning and contribute to sharing information and best practice
- Maintain Company vans, ensuring the correct stock/equipment is carried to fulfil all installation works
- Follow all Company procedures related to fuel cards and abide with current UK laws whilst operating Company vehicle.
- Complete timesheets on time and ensure Forms for works undertaken accurately reflect works undertaken.
- When on duty (including rest days) ensure Company mobile is switched on and monitored to maintain availability
- Report all incidents/safety breaches on site to Head of Installations to mitigate risks
- Ensure relevant certifications/classifications for undertaken role/duties are maintained
- The Mechanical Installation and Service Engineer will Maintain contact with Project Managers in relation to site activity and provide regular updates
- Understand the Company's obligation to quality and to apply the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertinent to the role.
- Understand the Company's commitment to Health & Safety and ensure that policies, procedures and safe methods of work are always followed to safeguard colleagues and customers .
Skills/Qualifications:
- Time keeping and diary management

- Full Driving license
- Medical equipment product knowledge - Desirable but not a deal breaker

- Scaffold & mobile platform training - Desirable but not a deal breaker
- Asbestos awareness training - Desirable but not a deal breaker
